Five Dreams. Five Businesses. One Community Investing in Their Future.

Every successful business begins with someone willing to believe in an idea. But turning that idea into something sustainable takes more than determination. It takes opportunity, access, encouragement, and a community willing to invest in the journey.

At Black Brilliance on the Rooftop's Timeless Excellence: A Walk Through Time celebration, we had the privilege of doing more than recognizing entrepreneurial talent. We invested directly in it.

Five local entrepreneurs were each awarded a $1,000 micro-grant, representing a collective $5,000 investment in the future of small business and community prosperity.

These grants represented more than financial assistance. They were a declaration that our community's entrepreneurs deserve to be seen, supported, and given opportunities to succeed.

Meet Our Five Micro-Grant Recipients

We proudly recognize the five entrepreneurs selected to receive this investment:

  • Tania Brown

  • Keshawn Chapman

  • Tamara McDowell

  • Jasmine Kent

  • Myrna Nash

Each recipient represents the ambition, creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit that make our community extraordinary.

While their individual journeys and business goals may differ, they share something powerful: the determination to build something meaningful.

Their recognition reminds us that economic development isn't only about attracting new businesses. It's also about investing in the talent, ideas, and entrepreneurial potential already present within our communities.

Why $1,000 Matters

To some, $1,000 may seem like a modest amount. But for a small business owner, the right investment at the right moment can make a meaningful difference.

It can help purchase essential equipment, support marketing efforts, improve operations, or provide resources needed to take the next step.

More importantly, it communicates something that cannot be measured in dollars alone:

Your vision matters. Your business matters. Your success matters to this community.

Our micro-grant awards were designed to celebrate that potential and demonstrate what intentional community investment can look like.

From Celebration to Lasting Impact

The Timeless Excellence experience brought together entrepreneurs, business leaders, artists, professionals, and community advocates for an evening celebrating achievement, culture, and connection.

But one of the evening's most meaningful moments came when celebration turned into direct investment.

The presentation of these five micro-grants reflected the heart of what Black Brilliance on the Rooftop was created to accomplish: increase visibility, encourage meaningful connections, and create tangible opportunities for entrepreneurs.

That commitment continues through our evolution into Elevation 321.

Our name has changed, but our belief in the power of community investment remains central to our mission.

The Next Chapter: Visibility. Impact. Prosperity.

Elevation 321 is building on this foundation with a broader vision for business and economic development throughout Florida's Space Coast.

Our work is guided by three pillars:

Visibility — Ensuring entrepreneurs, businesses, and community achievements receive the recognition and exposure they deserve.

Impact — Turning partnerships, resources, and community engagement into meaningful opportunities.

Prosperity — Supporting pathways toward sustainable business growth and long-term economic advancement.

The five micro-grants represent an early example of these principles in action.

They are also a reminder of what becomes possible when individuals, businesses, and community partners come together with a shared commitment to progress.

Five Entrepreneurs. Countless Possibilities.
